Will the heat ever subside? It's roasting out there, and our DualSense feels like it's been melting in our hands of late. Still, we'll be rubbing down our pads this weekend and playing the following games.
Aaron Bayne
This weekend I'll be flitting between the new Destiny 2 expansion, Edge of Fate, and wrapping up RoboCop: Rogue City Unfinished Business.
Jamie O'Neill
I'll play 2012's Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PS Vita to satiate the wait for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. SASRT is a kart racer where I can race as Joe Musashi, and dodge bees from a Swarm item, on a sunny OutRun Bay track! SEGA-mazing!!

Liam Croft
I'm going to get stuck into Donkey Kong Bananza and continue with a little work project in Gears of War.
Sammy Barker
I've got a few reviews to wrap up this weekend, and then I'll probably clean up the bits I'm interested in in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I did consider getting the Platinum for a little bit, but I've got such a big backlog I think I'm going to call it a day soon.
Stephen Tailby
I think it's finally time to make a start on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. I liked the original a lot in the end, though I fear I don't really remember enough detail about the story. I'm sure it'll be alright — I'm more in it for the satisfying delivery missions anyway.
That’s everything we’re playing this weekend, then, but what about you? Is there anything in particular you’re planning to play, or will you wait to see where your mood takes you? Let us know below.

This weekend I will play Soul Reaver 1. I have never played it back in the day so this will be a new experience for me.
I will start a second run of Chronicles of the Wolf on PS5 this time. The replay value is poor BUT the environments are awesome!
And for nostalgia I will see where I was in Link Between Worlds
Also, I want to play some Super Castlevania IV in retro style with the old controller and no save states
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Six weeks off doing my second play through of Ff16
Mainly Half Life 2 on the PC and Diablo IV on the PS5. Another busy family weekend so dipping in and out of those two and of course chasing the last Joker on Balatro on the PlayStation as I’ve got them all on the Switch.
Enjoy your gaming weekend Pushsquarians!
Still going through Star Wars: Outlaws. However I have also been pulled into the absolute quality game of Hades. The rogue lite gameplay truly is moreish.
175 hours into Death Stranding 2 and it’s completely absorbed my life. Loving it. I finally cracked and got Balatro which is fun, but I’m still getting to grips with. I’ve almost made it to the end of the tunnel in The Blue Prince too. Exciting!
Have a great weekend Folks!
I'm totally immersed in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
Assassins Creed: Rogue… and what a pleasant surprise it has been. I’ve been slowly chipping away at the series since 2019 and while the series has some highs… I’ve found just as many of the games to be a bit of a slog. This is one of the high points for me though and I had no idea that would be the case. It’s basically Black Flag but in the North Atlantic rather than the Caribbean.
Good evening.

This weekend I played The Sims 4 PS4 on my PS5 machine All Day Long. 😀
I renovated some of previous made houses and change the old furniture with new installed DLC furniture, change the interior and exterior looking.
Playing Donkey Kong Bananza on the Switch 2 at the moment. I’m at layer 1.100.
Also bought No More Heroes 1 and 2 last week on sale which I’ll be playing after.
Besides that some more Fortnite on PS5
What else but Farm Together 2. I put over 500 hours into the first game and I'm enjoying this one just as much. It's not exactly stimulating, but it is the most gaming fun I've had yet in 2025.
@Anti-Matter aren’t those adult characters on the cover of your latest game… 🤔 hmmm.
I just keep on keeping on. Taking my time with this lovely game, only just finished chapter 3 after 38 hours. Mixing it up with my daily GT7 credits grind.
I will be playing the fantastic Ready or not on PS5. Loving the slow pace tactical side to this game alot. Theres alot to learn and when things go wrong its generally down to your lack of preparation or awareness. I will also be playing some GT7, Dirt 2.0 and maybe some F1 2025 on my new Thrustmaster T598 wheel. To lighten the mood i may try and get some Pikmin 4 in on the switch if time permits. Happy gaming.
Still playing (and loving) Dragon Age: Veilguard. The closer I get to the ending, the sadder I feel that it's going to end. I'll miss the dynamics between the characters dearly.
More Fantasy Life i as is my norm currently.
All Lives already at Hero rank (highest rank), all buddies befriended (with their affinity maxed out), my next objectives now is to fully prep my current combat team's equipment prior to taking on a certain set of challenges (might be a spoiler, not sure), and also tackle some more Treasure Groves in multiplayer and hopefully beat the toughest difficulty there.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
Persona 4 Golden, The Show, and some Powerwash Simulator. Chill weekend for me
Crusader Kings 3 until Mafia comes out.
Well I finished with Doom Eternal this week and have managed to beat another gold stake run on Balatro already this morning so it's about time I made a start on Cyberpunk before my PS extra subscription runs out in a month. So I'll likely be doing that.
Except I'll probably just play more Balatro!...
Have a great weekend whatever you're up to fellow square pushers.
Still playing Tetris Effect on Psvr2, which I got on sale recently. Before I only played the demo and thought that it does nothing for me. But I think that I did not give it the chance it deserved, since it actually is really great in VR.
Then I looked into the demo Of Lies and Rain on Psvr2. It looked rather unspectacular to me in all the videos despite the praise it got. Anyway I wanted to just have a quick look and got sucked in for more time than I wanted. In terms of art design it is clearly not a big budget title, but it generates a very good atmosphere, sound design and voice acting are very good and if You glance over the sometimes lower res textures, and lower poly objects, it can look very convincing. And in particular the VR interactions are very well done! All in all a big surprise for me. I have not completed the demo yet, but it is supposed last for 90min and I played already for more than that, so I am presumably close to the end, and soon I will be waiting for the full game hoping that the full game has more to offer than what is already in the demo.
Other than that I don't know. I only replayed the Psvr2 version of hitman 1&2 and still have 3 to re-finish and most of the elusive targets , or I might finally pick up *Hell Sweeper" or "Ancient Dungeon" which are currently on sale and are depending on whom You ask good or great games.
Finished the main story for Tales of Arise last night trying to decide if i should go for the platinum or not. I'll also hopefully get back to Star Wars Outlaws today and play some more of Planet Zoo.
I’ll be finishing off the remaining trophies that my skill level can manage in tony hawk 3+4 and I’ll be taking screenshots of all the creepy smiling in Clair obscur.
I’ll probably play something in vr, maybe I’ll see if I can still murder Mads Mickelsen in Hitman.
I will continued playing the excellent smash hit judgment.i will continued playing fan favorite the incredible metal gear 5 the phantom pain definitive edition. I will also continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the excellent crash bandicoot in the n sane trilogy. And I will continued playing the wonderful mafia definitive edition.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in the Jeffersons. Good times.different strokes. And saved by the bell.word up son
Doing my best Mario impression in Elex 2:

In a bit of a summer gaming slump so just doing goals and things in FC25 until I get the urge to play something that is actually good 🙃
On PS5 i will be playing Flintlock The Siege of Dawn and Valkyria Chronicles Remastered. I will also be starting Banishers Ghosts of New Eden on the Portal.
On Switch 2 it's more Donkey Kong Bananza and Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Great game. Some of the best sidequests Ive played the last couple of years.
Have a great weekend!
Doing the latest event on Black Ops 6.
Donkey Kong Bananza on Switch 2.
I'm Currently playing Through Both Atelier Rorona DX and Disciples Liberation.
I've just started banishers ghosts of new Eden and it's very good and I really like the sinister atmosphere. I'll make time to torment @Kidfunkadelic83 on dirt 2.0 as well just because I can...have a great weekend everybody 👍
Finished:
Bought this game from Summer sale for $2 and i feel that price is a steal, which i would gladly pay more to support the devs. This game has one of the best 2D sprites i ever seen in the last 5-10 years. Not just that, the music are pretty good too. The gameplay is a bit standard for metroidvania but still fun to play though. Sadly i don't know much about Record of Lodoss War and the characters. My only knowledge was from the 1990 OVA by Madhouse like 2 episodes. I still reccomend the game for anyone who wants to play metroidvania that doesn't take long to finished (i've beaten it for 6 hours) and fun to play + gorgeous to look at 👍
Playing:
Bought it from Summer sale for $3 and i'm really enjoying it althogh it's probably one if not the most challenging / punishing shmups from Psikyo that i ever played.
Bought this from PS3 store for 4 bucks and i had a lot of fun with this underrated Contra. The opening movie is still badass as ever and the goofy-over the top set piece like Bill / Jubei running in the helicopter blade and the "MGS clone" story also still fun. Kinda sad that a lot of reviewer and Contra fans hated this game.
Outside gaming, i'm gonna clean up and rearrange my room especially my comic book & gaming shelfs.
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
Red Dead Redemption. It's the first time I have played it since it came out. It really holds up.
@Northern_munkey im not gonna lie, i jumped in to a more powerful car yesterday and struggled quite a bit. I was all over the shop 😂
I'm still playing Jean D Ark which I'm absolutely loving!About 30 hours into it at the moment and just started chapter 5.
Also playing Death Stranding 2 which I'm enjoying a lot!
Away at the in-laws for the weekend so my Portal is a Balatro machine, and maybe something turn based - Sea of Stars is on sale and I started it when it was on Plus, so that could be a plan. Happy weekend all!
I've been playing GTA 3 Definitive Edition recently and its actually in a good state now, so I'm on my way to platinum trophy.
Also going to play some older games on the Vita and PS3 because why not?
Just finished the Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty DLC (still one of my favourite games af all time) and starting Death Stranding 2 now. I'm switching between these darker stories and a bit of Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World sessions now and then to lighten the mood.
Started Cyberpunk this week. It's all a bit overwhelming, but it's also very good
Deep in the jungle hunting for Stalker Stealth Generators, so quiet I can only hear birds chirping, waiting patiently to ironically ambush my targets. Like a scene from the Predator, and that's the beauty of a series that keeps releasing alongside other equally monumental games it gets somewhat overshadowed. Horizon Forbidden West. Got the Burning Shores DLC, so it's mainly that.
Continuing my push for the platinum in Skyrim. It's a long but enjoyable adventure.
Had to pause it last week in the glorious weather because my PS5 shutdown with overheat.
Batman: The Telltale Series (SW) - Onto Episode 3. I've forgotten how dark this series really got.
Gears POP! (Android) - More YT vids.
Gun Bros (Windows Phone) - Slowly winding my way down to the end.
Got the plat in The Callisto Protocol. Awesome game, perfect length. Now onto to RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business. It’s excellent. I really encourage anyone who liked the first game to jump on in and support Teyon. A great studio who are pumping out some awesome work with these games.
Robocop: Rogue City Unfinished Business, Helldivers 2 and a healthy dose of Ready or Not. Hope to get Donkey Kong Bananza in the next week or two.
Eiyuden chronicle, Pirate Yakuza, maybe some Monster Train 2. And maybe some Diablo 4. Too many games on the go at the moment but I’ll see what I feel like.
Eriksholm on PC. This is a good one. Rise of the tomb raider on the ps5 - how does it still play and look this well.
I'm currently popping creeps heads off in Robocop UB, great game, hard to argue with @get2sammyb review, there are lots of grey corridors but the game is lots of fun for fans of the films even a Robocop 2 reference in there!
@playstation1995 I was gutted when I finished Judgement, Yagami was brilliant, reminds me to give the 2nd one a go!
Having too much fun with Donkey Kong to be thinking of other games this weekend!
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. What am I playing? More like what am I NOT playing? The answer being every game except Fantasy Life i. Weekend.
Some new games played since last week 🙂
Oblivion remaster - Finished and platinumed. I must say I really enjoyed playing this game again, but its a shame its in such a bad shape technically and with the studio behind it getting hit with massive lay-offs theres a big risk it wont ever be fixed. Which is like most Bethesda games but its a real shame.
CoD WW2 - Its not the best cod campaign but its still some good fun blockbuster action so far which is great and all I really want from the game!
Banishers - been waiting for this to drop on PS Plus 🙂 I’m a couple of hours in and like the game so far, its a bit slow at times perhaps and might get repetitive down the line but so far so good!
Arken Age PSVR2 - I picked it up in the sale but only managed to play like 45 minutes as I dont have the headset at the summer place so can only play when I’m back home once a week but it seems very promising, it looks and plays well and the story and the world seems cool. Cant wait to play more 🙂
Im in two minds of what to play next. I realistically should be finishing up Persona 5 Royal, but I’m itching to give Cyberpunk 2077 a proper go after it crashed my PS5 when it first released.
I'll be brief: Oh, banana!
DK Bonanza on switch and metaphor refantazio on ps5. Such a good combo!
Hello there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´ll be playing:
Cheers and happy gaming weekend to us all
Having finished off all the side quests, treasure hunts and Witcher contracts, I'll be finishing off the main quest in the second expansion of The Witcher 3 this weekend, and then I shall be re-starting Cyberpunk 2077 complete with its expansion, which should keep me busy for a couple of weeks...
@Zuljaras Hello there friend. Long time no see.
First, how are you always the the first to comment on these articles? Gotta be some inside conections 😜
Second, Soul Reaver is one of my favourite franchises(even though it´s part of the Legacy of Kain Series) and you could probably have guessed based on my name here.
The intro alone is still one of my favourites and really gets you into the games lore and premisse. It´s that good.
The game is very much Metroidvania like, but in 3D.
Raziel voiced by Michael Bell is phenomenal, just like Kain voiced by Simon Templeman and the Elder God by the late Tony Jay. These games have some of THE BEST voice acting and narrative I´ve heard in a videogame and the games are very fun and engaging as well. Still hoping one day for someone to anounce the final chapters to conclude the story.
Still remember most of these games dialogue, just like my others favourite franchises, Metal Gear Solid and Mass Effect.
Also Link Between Worlds is so good. Still have my copy.
Cheers friend and sorry for the long post
I've just finished The Pathless. Cracking game.
Now deciding what to play next from games I've bought in recent sales, Nobody wants to die, a short hike, tails of iron 2, cocoon & just crow things
Also jealous of anyone getting to play Donkey Kong Bananza. Looks amazing that game
Away at Southport for weekend so just some retro stuff on the handheld. Noticed Galacticon on the ps store (retro joust/defender type game) for £4 on the store, i had it on switch and loved it so will grab that when i get home and also play some more The Pathless which i got on sale and looks good 👍
@RaZieLDaNtE I have absolutely no connections to the staff
The only exceptions are the articles about my gaming related sculptures. But that is because I sent them those over the contact form
I just know the exact hour they post those. If they make it random, I will never be the first one
As for Legacy of Kain, I only watched and read about the story, I never "played" it myself, so this is exciting.
I never got into Metal Gear Solid and Mass Effect. I prefer fantasy games with some exceptions ofc
Still grinding through Death Stranding 2
I’m also stuck on a boss in First Beserker which is not unusual. I spend days working through those because the little ones afford me little time to practice.
Finally, I’ve gotten an itch for the First Descendant mainly because it’s Live Service Slop and I’m preparing to earn the Nier gear.
Just one trophy left for the plat in Nightreign, but I'll probably spend most of my time building roads in Death Stranding 2.
Nowt for me this weekend, mainly eating cheese toasties and drinking ice cold super bock in sunny Portugal 👍
Happy gaming everyone x
Welp I've been sucked into Oblivion Remastered and it's taking over my consciousness. I'm only 12hrs in and level 6 but not 1 single oblivion gate has been opened yet 🤣
I will probably play some MH Wilds with the boys later today. Between MH Oblivion and eventually platinuming HZD Remastered I should be good till my planned double feature of Ghost Yotei/Digimon Story Time Stranger in October.
Happy gaming PushSquare comrades!
@Mostik yes he's a amazing protagonist.the gameplay.the graphics.the story.the boss fights is amazing. And the English voice actor is amazing and the name Greg best name ever.word up son
Kingdom Come Deliverance 1, considering it's age and peers, it ain't no RDR2, its very buggy and slow. But, I'll give it a fair chance to improve, and dip into Balatro for the real immersive escapism.
I’m still playing Death Stranding 2. I’ve reached chapter 12 113hours and I feel as if I’ve hardly accomplished anything. Don’t ask me what I’ve been doing this entire time—I won’t have an answer. But gosh dang, am I having a blast. The entire gameplay loop is addicting, from the dopamine rush of collecting packages, to the sound it makes when picking up items, it ticks that satisfaction part of your brain.
I’d like to also mention that Episode 11, “Quake”, might be one of the best things I’ve ever experienced in a video game, from the gameplay, environmental exposition, and answers in its story—everything is intertwined so perfectly. It impacted me emotionally in an unexpected way, and it’s one of those rare gaming moments I’ll never forget.
I have also played a couple of hours of RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business. As a big fan of Treyon, particularly Terminator and the thoroughly enjoyable Rogue City—I got the platinum for it—this is more of the same in the best of ways. I’ve had a blast shooting criminal scum in the crotch. I would buy this game for a dollar, but I felt like it deserved $30.00.
There are also several games on my Xbox Series X I’d like to get to soon: South of Midnight; Atomfall; Avowed; and My Friendly Neighborhood. And in a couple of weeks Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is releasing. That is anime immediate day one purchase, and whatever I’m playing at that moment will get put on the back-burner.
@Perturbator I enjoyed Elex 2 so much despite all it's jank. I actually think that's part of the charm. Doesn't look like we'll ever get a part 3
@Zuljaras i got the first post last week! Finally my life is complete!😄
Will be finishing Black Myth Wukong then straight into Wuchang Fallen Feathers when it releases next week. A bit of Stalker 2 thrown in as well
@Grumps859 Yeah it's a shame. Despite all the flaws in Piranhabytes games, they always nail the world and environments that make them worth playing.
Some of devs started a new studio called Pithead. I hope they will make something similar. And there's also the Gothic remake that looks pretty good but is by different studio.
On holiday in Spain so no PS5 but hopefully some Shmups on my Anbernic
Playing more Tales of Arise.
Continuing to chip away at Doom 2016’s and FFX remaster’s platinum trophy
I'm hoping I can finish Code Vein this weekend so I can be ready for Wuchang next week. I will also dapple a bit here and there in DK Bananza.
Monster Hunter Wilds and Lunar Remastered Collection for me this weekend.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Yo dude, what is the single player campaign like in Ready or Not? I am really tempted but thought it looked more suited to multiplayer and would rather play solo!
Nothing so far but probably more Settlers 2 mission cd (Europe, both Americas and Africa complete) and starting Banishers on Ps5 if I get around to downloading it.
The real game this weekend is to finish tuning the new heads on my drum kit and set all of that back up. It’s a different type of puzzle game.
Got the platinum on Helldivers 2 but still playing daily doing my bit for democracy.
This weekend is a medley of Destiny 2, Final Fantasy XI and Cyberpunk 2077... Plus finishing the last few chapters of Rhythm of War between intermittent power cuts
Will carry on with death stranding 2, been away and havent had much time to play yet, im about 17hrs in so far loving it so far.
What game is the Ninja from?
I recently came into some extra money and bought a PS2 Slim on a whim. Then I went a little off the rails with game purchases: The Two Towers, Return of the King, Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, God of War, Valkyrie Profile 2, Viewtiful Joe, Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter, Grandia Xtreme, and Radiata Stories.
I wanted to buy Godhand but it was $190 and I just couldn’t do it. Still want to get Suikoden 3 and a few others. Looks like my PS4/5 backlog will have to wait lol
Ages of Empire 2 platinum march progressing nicely. Treating myself to more hours building and upgrading roads later and being a good porter for my fellow DS2 bredrin.
A good ways into act 2 of Clair obscur. Still a lot to love about this game. The difficulty finally ramped up here and there lol. But the story is too slow. Practically nothing happened in all of act 1 except the end of it. And so far in 2 neither. The twists and turns don't really land with me as much as they could. But what it does excel at is the great character interactions and chats. Makes you appreciate them and want to see how their story ends. But the most enjoyable part has been exploring the overworld and doing all the side stuff. Really fun
Wrapping up the main story of Kingdom Come 2. I’ve had a lot of fun but I’m ready to be done so I can wait for the next DLC. I did have Henry go into murder mode and slaughter an entire town then proceed to dump the bodies in front of the inn. Now the Kuttenberg region hates me. No clue what I’ll play next.
Ghost of Tsushima
Had the PS5 version for several years now, but never replayed the game until I started to this week. I also didn't purposely play it now because it's the 5 year anniversary either. I didn't realize that until the article about it on here after I had already started it again.
All the limited time I have ill be playing Edg of Fate
Mafia 2 for a little bit due to some boxing on tonight.
Playing through Ico for about the 6th time, but this time I'm doing it on an arcade machine. Surprisingly it plays really well! Also going to be working through the Robocop DLC and platinuming Lies of P this weekend. Happy gaming everyone!
I'm the kind of lunatic that juggles like 4-7 games at one time, jumping between a few throughout the day. But today I anticipate working on Tony Hawk 3+4 some more, Shooty Fruity, a fun PSVR game, and Samurai Warriors 4. If I have time, I wan to also work on Sniper Elite Resistance's Authentic Difficulty some more.
Still proceeding with Tav’s adventures. At Grymforge now. Having a blast with it, but still in Act 1 after 70 hrs… 😅
Long list of games for me which is unusual.
Farm Together 2 - Starting this later tonight with my girlfriend. We enjoyed the first one quite a bit and this looks to improve on it.
Tales of Arise - This is my main single player game right now and I recommend it to any RPG fan
Grand Theft Auto V - Might jump into the multiplayer which I’ve been really enjoying recently. Once you get a business and a way to earn a good amount of money the game really opens up. Plus the casino is addictive.
System Shock 2 Anniversary Remaster - Started this co-op with my brother and we weren’t really sure what to expect. We then continued to play it for 2 and a half hours. It definitely hasn’t aged to well, but it’s still fun to play. Shame all the trophies are tied to the single player mode though.
Beyond Galaxyland - Haven’t played it for too long but I love the art style and the story seems interesting so far. Look forward to playing it more.
I finally finished atelier yumia now im on khazan ohh boy i love it 3h in and now i understand why ppl praise this game to high regard
I’m still slowly making my way through Death Stranding Director’s Cut, I’m 20+ hours in and only on chapter 3. I’ve also started up Kingdom Hearts 1 again for the first time in a VERY long time.
gonna watch my man Dubois knock out Usyk , but as i’m waiting through these prelims i’m just on my switch playing some mario 64, and the controls are complete ass! i paid the highest switch tier sub out of desperation to try this game months ago and i’m still at the beginning pretty much
update: welp i was wrong, im disappointed in my boy, smh
Donkey Kong Bananza for sure. Playing the Switch again just makes gaming so much more convenient, as I’d gone back to playing Switch more heavily while my PS5 was in the shop and I sort of noticed I was gaming more, but bugging my wife less about it because it felt like I was gaming less due to shorter sessions. DK is absolutely fantastic, by the way.
I’d like to play more Death Stranding 2 though.
Honestly, both games are so good, it’s insane. It’s crazy how these two games are just so beyond anything else that’s released this year. Haven’t enjoyed two games in tandem so much since the crowded second half of 2019.
@nomither6 ....and how did that knock out go exactly ?? 🤣🤣
@Mostik sorry its taken me half the day to get back to you. Its very good. Once you get used to the controls and issuing orders etc its very tense. AI for the most part is pretty good and does what its told. I love it.
@KingPev dubious is lazy & gave up, he immediately got up as soon as the ref was finished counting and walked off like nothing happened. he was lazy & slow the entire fight and was tired by the end of the second round. dubious threw the fight; usyk just countered 🥱
Death Stranding Directors Cut. I played and beat the PS4 version at release, but I wanna get the platinum before jumping into the sequel which I bought on release to support. Dabbling in DK Bonanza but DS is too addicting.
